To get started, decide what you want to do. For us at RandomSPACE, there are three categories of work you could be evaluating:

• Adding Space
  These are the big projects. Examples include additions, basement finishes , and garages. Projects of this size take careful planning and often require the input of an architect, an engineer, or other business partners prior to project start.
  
  
• Changing Space
  Changing space is a very common renovation project. Typical examples include removing walls to open up your living space or adding windows or doors to let in more light or improve access to your space. These projects can require the input of an engineer, but are much simpler than adding entirely new living space.
  
  
• Improving Space
  Sometimes all you want is a new look. Improving the space you have is easy and usually more affordable than the first two choices. Examples of space improvement include new flooring, a new kitchen, or a new bathroom. Design work for this level of project is typically handled by RandomSPACE, but we are always happy to work with your designers if you prefer.
